Using A USB Flash Drive from ECF Unix
When you plug a USB flash drive to an ECF Unix workstation, an icon should automatically appear on your desktop. You can access the files on the drive by double-clicking the icon, and copy files to or from the drive by dragging and dropping them.
The drive will also appear in the filesystem under the /media directory.
Important: When you have finished using the USB drive, you should unmount it by right-clicking on the icon and selecting Unmount Volume before you physically unplug the drive. Failing to unmount the drive before removing it may result in loss of data. Note that a drive cannot be unmounted while it is in use by an application.
