The Engineering Summer Internship Program (ESIP) is a summer co-op program for undergraduate Engineering students in their 2nd year of study.
Via development workshops and one-on-one sessions, ESIP students are provided with preparation that can make them competitive candidates for co-op opportunities. The opportunities themselves usually run for about 4 months between May and September, thereby providing students with a meaningful exposure to the workplace. With this preparation, students gain the means of articulating their academic experiences to a workplace setting.
JOINING THE ESIP PROGRAM
To find out if ESIP is right for you please attend one of our Information Sessions, where you can learn about what the program can offer you and get any questions answered. We will be holding ESIP Information Sessions on the following dates/times:
- Monday, Sept 8, 5-6 PM, Room BA1130
- Wednesday, Sept 10, 12-1, Room BA1170
- Tuesday, Sept 16, 5-6 PM, BA1170
RETURNING STUDENTS (students who were on ESIP in Summer 2008)
- Please note that your ESIP Evaluation Forms are due immediately.
- If you have not done so please pay your $250.00 placement fee immediately. Cheques or money order only, payable to the University of Toronto Engineering Society, dropped off to 45 Willcocks Street, 2nd floor.
- A debrief session for all returning ESIP students will be held on Wednesday, Thursday, September 11th, 5-6 PM in room BA1200. All returning ESIP students are required to attend this session.
